New Zealand golfer Mark Purser marked his debut on the Asian Tour with a highly commendable top-10 finish in the Asian Tour International in Thailand yesterday.
Purser shot a closing round of four-under-par 67 in Bangkok to end the season's opening event in a share of seventh place on 12-under 272.
He was three shots behind the winner, South Africa's James Kamte, another player in his rookie season on the Asian circuit.
Purser put together rounds of 68, 66, 71 and 67 to earn a cheque for US$7620 ($15,160) in a tournament carrying a purse of US$300,000.
