Kiwis Danny Lee and Tim Wilkinson are on the cut line as play was suspended during the second round of The Honda Classic on the PGA Tour in Florida.
Lightning caused a delay earlier today and play was eventually suspended due to darkness but Wilkinson was able to get his round in as he carded a one-over 71, which left him in a share of 67th at four-over for the week, which is the projected cut score.
Lee was two-over for the day through 11 holes and four-over for the week when play was halted and he will need to remain on the ball during the final holes of his second round, to be played tomorrow, to ensure he makes the cut.
Wilkinson came in to the tournament in 165th on the FedEx Cup standings and needs to make cuts shortly to ensure he keeps getting starts on tour. Lee, the best-performed Kiwi this season, was in 49th on the FedEx Cup rankings ahead of The Honda Classic.
Scoring has been tough at the PGA National course this week but Brendan Steele, who birdied his first four holes today before darkness fell, holds the lead at eight-under, while Patrick Reed is at six-under having completed his first two rounds.
