Phillis Meti has won the Womens World Long Drive Championships in Oklahoma for the second time in her career and in dramatic fashion.
The Aucklander was on the back foot for the entire final as pressure started building before her final drive of the day sored 310 yards (into a strong wind) to win in style and even to her the surprize.
"Im pretty stoked and super surprised as I didnt think I had it in me," said an excited Meti.
Her emotions were hard to hide, when she hit the final shot as she saved her best till last where celebrations soon followed.
"How ridiculous was my celebration and falling over looked so silly," she laughed.
