Former winner Simon Owen is one of two senior players granted exemptions to the New Zealand Open golf championship next week near Queenstown.
Owen, who won the tournament in 1976, and Jim Lapsley, another New Zealander who plays on the European Seniors Tour, were yesterday given direct entry to the event at The Hills starting next Thursday.
The Open field is released today.
