New Zealand finished tied for 21st after wet weather forced the cancellation of the final day of the Eisenhower Trophy amateur men's world team's golf championship in Puerto Rico today.
Josh Geary, Riki Kauika and Kevin Chun completed eight holes in virtually unplayable conditions to be one-under when play was suspended on the waterlogged River course at the Rio Mar Country Club.
Organisers allowed only the leading 11 nations to continue but conditions saw the round cancelled, with the contest decided on the first 54 holes.
The United States were comfortable winners, 10 strokes ahead of Spain, with Sweden another shot back in third.
It was a disappointing end for the New Zealanders, who had improved from a poor opening round, when they were placed 44th.
Bay of Plenty's Josh Geary finished ranked fifth in the individual standings.
