Golf: NZ fails to make Dunhill Cup semis

The New Zealand team has failed to make the semifinals at golf's Dunhill Cup at St Andrews in Scotland.

The kiwis needed to beat South Africa in their final round robin match this morning to make the playoffs, but lost 2-1.

Grant Waite recorded New Zealand's only win, downing David Frost by 4 strokes, however Michael Campbell and Greg Turner lost to Ernie Els and Retief Goosen
respectively.

South Africa will play Wales in the semis while Spain will be up against Argentina.
