Golf: New Zealand share third place in Japan

The New Zealand team has made a solid start to be third equal after the first round of the Asia Pacific Golf Championship in Japan.

The New Zealanders have finished on four under par for the best three counting scores, but are already nine shots behind leaders Australia.

Mark Purser produced an error free round with four birdies and no dropped shots while Brad Iles carded a one under 71, Matt Holten a one over 73 and Josh Geary the non-counting 74.
