Danny Lee has made a promising start to the RBC Heritage tournament on the PGA Tour in South Carolina but fellow Kiwi Tim Wilkinson has some work to do in his second round if he wants to make the cut.
Lee carded an ever-par 71 today in a round which included an eagle, two birdies and four bogeys as he finished the day in a tie for 36th, while Wilkinson signed for a four-over 75 as he drifted to a share of 111th. Hamilton professional Steven Alker, who has fallen to 191st on the FedEx Cup standings, isn't in the field this week.
American Matt Every and Ireland's Graeme McDowell lead the event at five-under with Korean Sangmoon Bae one stroke back in third.
Masters champion Jordan Spieth, only a week removed from his record-breaking performance at Augusta, struggled at the Harbour Town Golf Links today as he shot a three-over 74 to lie in a share of 93rd.
