Rory McIlroy is not the least bit upset by not being voted PGA Tour rookie of the year. The 21-year-old from Northern Ireland doesn't think he's a rookie.
In a vote of the players, Rickie Fowler was the top rookie on the PGA Tour, even though he didn't win a tournament.
McIlroy won Quail Hollow against one of the best fields of the year, tied a major championship record with a 63 at the British Open when he finished in a tie for third, and tied for third in the PGA Championship.
Fowler turned pro in 2008 and was among the top 10 in the world before joining the PGA Tour this year.
However, Vijay Singh won the rookie award at age 30, and Todd Hamilton was 39 when he won the award in 2004.
