The Australian Masters, one of the country's three premier golf tournaments, will be co-sanctioned by the European Tour for the first time later this year.
The PGA Tour of Australasia event in Melbourne from November 30 to December 3 will be the third stop on the 2007 European Tour.
The Australasian Tour has struggled to attract top players in recent years because of greater financial rewards offered on the US PGA and Asian Tours, and also by end-of-season invitational events like the Sun City Challenge in South Africa.
