Lydia Ko's showed her world number one class to rocket into contention at the latest LPGA event in Phoenix.
The Kiwi golfer's returned to her best with a scintillating nine under par 63 third round, which included six straight birdies to close.
Ko moved from a share of 40th to sit in a share of seventh at 16-under par.
She is five shots off the lead held by Sweden's Anna Nordqvist, who outshone everyone with a remarkable course record 11-under par 61 to lead the tournament by two shots at 21-under par.
Ko's rival for the world number one ranking, Thailand's Anita Jutanugarn, is in second spot.
