Lydia Ko has produced an impressive recovery after an early double bogey at the CME Group Tour Championship.
The world number one has signed for a two-under 70, with four birdies to sit four shots behind the leader Shanshan Feng. Ko needs a win this week to secure player of the year honours.
Feng has a one-shot lead over So Yeon Ryu and Charley Hull.
Coming off consecutive victories in Malaysia and Japan, Feng is one of nine players who entered the season finale with a chance to win the Race to the CME Globe season title and $1 million bonus. Ko sits second in the standings, 500 points behind Ariya Jutanugarn who shot an even-par 72.
