Lydia Ko's LPGA player of the year hopes remain alive despite a disappointing result in her latest golf event in Japan.
Ko finished in a tie for 43rd after firing a three-under 69 in her final round to finish 11 shots behind winner Shanshan Feng.
Current player of the year leader Ariya Jutanugarn missed a chance to wrap up the award after shooting a final round total of 74 to slip to a tie for 10th for the tournament.
With two tournaments remaining, Ko has a slim chance of catching Jutanugarn who leads by 126 points.
