Golf: Lydia Ko finds form in Singapore

Lydia Ko has found her mojo again.

New Zealand's world No 1 has rocketed into second place in the latest big tournament on the LPGA tour after a blizzard of birdies at the HSBC Women's Champions in Singapore.

Ko's putter was running hot with six birdies in 10 holes - including birdies on the first four holes - to help her to a five-under par score in the third round of the tournament.

She was 12-under for the event, just one shot behind leader Michelle Wie, when play was suspended due to lightning. Wie was four-under par through nine holes.

The Kiwi teenager has struggled early on this year's tour but now looks to be finding her touch.

A bogey on the fifth failed to set her off her stride. She had her first par on the sixth before collecting birdies on the eighth and 10th.

Ko's main rival for the world No 1 spot, Ariya Jutanugarn, is tied with the 19-year-old in second place.
