Michael Long is the best placed kiwi heading into today's final round of the Jacob's Creek Open in Adelaide.
Long will begin the day tied for 21st at one-over-par after shooting an opening round 72.
The other kiwis, Steve Alker and Mahal Pearce, are six and seven-over-par respectively.
They are all chasing young Australian Ewan Walters who is six-under-par, one shot clear of the field.
However, there are 15 others within four shots of the lead.
