SPRINGFIELD, New Jersey - New Zealand's Michael Campbell made a slow start as play was suspended early in the final golf round of the 87th US PGA Championship after lightning was spotted in the area.
The suspension came about 15 minutes before the scheduled 3pm (7am NZT) tee time for overnight co-leaders Phil Mickelson and his fellow American Davis Love.
Campbell began the final round at even par, six shots off the pace, but opened with a bogey five on the first hole.
He parred the next six holes to be one-over after seven.
Mickelson and Love shared a one-stroke lead at six-under-par over Thomas Bjorn of Denmark.
