New Zealand golfers Tim Wilkinson and Danny Lee have made the cut at the PGA Tour's Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Lee, the world No 1 amateur who is contesting his first PGA tournament, shot a 66 for a six-under total of 134 after two rounds to be in joint 18th, nine shots behind the leader, Carl Petterson of Sweden.
Rotorua's Lee, who is tuning up for the US Amateur championship which begin on Tuesday (NZT) at Pinehurst, also in North Carolina, carded six birdies today. Back-to-back bogeys on the 15th and 16th holes were his only blemishes.
Lee made the turn in three-under 32 after birdies on the 3rd, 5th and 8th holes. He began the back nine with a birdie on the 10th and picked up another on the 12th. After the bogeys, he recovered with a birdie on the 17th.
Wilkinson who opened his accounts with a first round 66, shot a 69 today, mixing an eagle three on the par-5 15th and two birdies with three bogeys. He is in a tie for 29th.
Petterson's round of 61 today was punctuated by 11 birdies and two bogeys.
