New Zealand's Richard Lee remains in contention at the Toshin Golf Tournament on the Japanese tour after he shot a three-under par 69 in the third round to be in seventh place.
Lee, whose best result previously this year on his return to the Japan Tour was a tie for 31st at the Diamond Cup, is on 11-under six shots back from leader Dong-Hwan Lee heading into the final round.
The Auckland pro, who was the first player to shoot a 59 in competitive golf in New Zealand, finished fourth at the Toshin tournament last year.
His third round got off to a great start when he made three birdies in succession on 5, 6 and 7 to get within striking distance of the leaders. But a mixed back nine of three birdies and three bogeys saw him finish on 11 under.
Fellow Kiwi Eddie Lee, in his first appearance on the Japan Tour this year, has had rounds of 72, 66 and 80 to be in 65th place.
