Danny Lee's recent strong form has continued, with a one-under par second round seeing the Kiwi golfer sit just one stroke off the pace at the Greenbrier Classic on the PGA Tour.
Lee has six top-25 finishes since March, and he could make it seven if he keeps up his career-best form this weekend in West Virginia.
After posting a seven-under par 63 yesterday, Lee's round of 69 this afternoon saw him stay just one shot back of the lead held by American Scott Langley and Colombian Jhonattan Vegas.
On a tougher day for low scoring, Lee's two birdies and one bogey were enough to keep him in touch with the leaders, being in a seven-way tie for third. However, the jam-packed leaderboard has 40 players within four shots of the leaders, leaving little room for error.
One Kiwi found that out this morning, with Steven Alker shooting a five-over 75 to go tumbling down the leaderboard, missing the cut. Fellow New Zealander Tim Wilkinson had an ever-par 70, but his first-round of 75 meant he also missed the cut.
