Kiwi golfer Danny Lee's quest of a big payday has taken a hit after the second round of the season-ending Tour Championship this morning.
With four holes left, Lee was sitting at even par for his round and one-under for the tournament, comfortbaly inside the top 10.
However, bogies at 15 and 18 saw him card a two-over 72, dropping into a share of 12th at one-over for the tournament.
Swede Henrik Stenson leads the tournament which consists of the 30 best players on the PGA Tour, and has a mammoth purse of $US 8,250,000. After firing a first round 63, he followed it up with a two-under 68 to lead by three strokes over American sensatation Jordan Spieth.
The tournament doubles as the final leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs, with the overall winner of the playoffs earning a $10 million dollar prize. Lee sits in 20th on the playoff ledger, with Stenson in the box seat for the double triumph.
