New Zealand golfer Danny Lee is two shots off the lead after an abbreviated first round of the Panama Championship, the first Nationwide Tour event of the year.
Lee was well placed after a four-under-par 66 left him in a share of fourth on a day cut short by bad weather.
The 20-year-old opened with two birdies over his first three holes and added back to back birdies at holes 9 and 10 to move to four-under. He mixed dropped shots at the 11th and 16th with two further birdies to lie behind joint leaders Americans Rich Barcelo and Erik Compton.
Compatriot Josh Geary who qualified for the Nationwide Tour in December, shot an even-par 70, while Tim Wilkinson was on the same score after 10 holes.
Steven Alker and Brad Iles both managed to complete their rounds and were a shot further back after one-over-par 71s.
