Danny Lee gave up his best chance yet for his maiden win on the PGA Tour, after handing over the lead to finish third at the OHL Classic in Mexico.
Lee was leading by one stroke seven holes after recording seven straight birdies on the front nine. But three bogies over the final stretch saw him fall back to third place at 15-under following a four-under 67.
Charley Hoffman won the tournament three strokes ahead of Lee after a final round 66. Fellow American Shawn Stefani was a further shot back at 16-under.
'I'm happy with where I finished, Lee said. "The back nine on this golf course is very tough. You kind of have to hit perfect golf shots to make birdies on the back nine which I didn't.
"I think I was a little bit nervous and was rushing myself. I should have taken a little bit more time. But there's always next week and next year. I'm looking forward to playing all of the events in 2015."
