Lydia Ko has had a disappointing finish to her opening round at the US Open after a hot start that included three birdies over the first seven holes.
The world number two was three-under through 10 holes before three bogeys on the back nine saw her card an even par 70.
Ko was tied for 24th with players still out on the course.
American Marina Alex and Australia's Karrie Webb are the clubhouse leaders and four-under and both hit a first round 66.
