Lydia Ko has recorded a top 10 finish in her opening tournament of 2014, at the Pure-Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic.
The 16-year-old finished in a share of seventh place at 15-under after shooting a five-under 68 today.
That left her four shots behind American winner Jessica Korda who fired a seven-under 66 to pip compatriot Stacey Lewis by one shot.
Ko received US$31,543 in her first official LPGA start.
She now heads back to New Zealand to defend her New Zealand Open title.
