Lydia Ko is set to retain her status as golf's female world number one after a strong third round at the Manulife LPGA Classic in Canada this morning.
Ko shot a four-under par 68 to move to nine-under for the tournament, jumping up 16 spots to sit in a share of 32nd.
Amongst the bevy of players alongside Ko at nine-under is world number two Inbee Park, who was a chance to surpass Ko and gain the world number one ranking with a strong performance over this weekend.
However, a third round 70 saw Park slip back down the leaderboard, with her chances of snaring away the top spot from Ko now very slim.
Ko had three birdies and a eagle to go with the solitary bogey in her round today.
