Kiwi golfer Lydia Ko has continued her strong rookie season on the LPGA Tour as she finished in a share of second place at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship.
The 17-year-old produced an impressive six-under 65 in her final round of the 54-hole event today as she ended the week at 11-under, alongside Americans Cristie Kerr and Angela Stanford.
The trio were one stroke back from winner Stacy Lewis, who also shot a 65 during the final round to record the victory.
Ko, who only made one bogey during the tournament, pocketed US$141,128 (NZD$160,865) for her efforts and remained comfortably inside the top 10 on the Race to the CME Globe standings, which is the season-long points competition to track the results of LPGA players.
Today's result follows on from a respectable T15 finish at last week's US Women's Open for Ko.
