A late birdie is likely to give Lydia Ko a buffer inside the cut line at the US Women's Open at Pinehurst.

Ko has birdied her last hole to sign for a one over par second round that has her seven over for the tournament.

She's three shots inside the cut line.

American Michelle Wie has the clubhouse lead at four under, one shot clear of overnight leader Stacy Lewis.
