Lydia Ko worked her way up the leaderboard during the second round of the LPGA Classic in Michigan today.
Ko finished her round tied for fifth at five-under after carding a three-under 68 at the Blythefield Country Club.
The 17-year-old is five shots off the leader, Korea's Inbee Park (10-under).
A good day's work for Ko was slightly soured in its final stages when she dropped a shot on the 18th.
But overall, Ko remains in the hunt to chase down a leading pack that includes Norway's Suzann Pettersen (nine-under) and Korea's Mirim Lee (eight-under).
Meanwhile, Steven Alker finished his second round of the Web.com Tour's Price Cutter Charity Championship in a tie for second at 12-under - although a number of players have yet to finish their rounds.
Alker hit a seven-under 65 to back up his first round five-under 67 at the Highland Springs Country Club in Springfield, Missouri.
Alker is currently 11th on the Web.com Tour's money order, and is well-positioned to earn himself a PGA Tour card for next season.
