The Kiwi golfer fired a one-over 72 in the final women's major of the year to be four-under for the tournament and four shots off the lead.
Ko mixed three bogeys with two birdies in her round to be in a tie for sixth.
Korea's Hyo Joo Kim leads at eight-under.
