An elusive major title has eluded her once again but Lydia Ko continues to impress on the big stage with a top 20 finish at the LPGA Championship.
The 16-year-old hit four birdies and a bogey to record a three-under 69 in her final round at Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford to finish the tournament at one-over.
The world's top amateur finished in a tie for 17th place, equalling her best finish at a major at last year's British Open. Earlier in the year she finished in a tie for 25th at the Kraft Nabisco Championship.
South Korea's Inbee Park won the tournament after beating Scotland's Catriona Matthew on the third playoff hole. It is Park's third career major victory and second of the year after winning the Kraft Nabisco Championship.
As the only amateur player in the field, Ko sealed the leading amateur honours - for the fourth time out of four majors.
