Kiwi golfer Lydia Ko has steadily made her way up the leaderboard at the Kraft Nabisco Championship in California with a two-under 70 in her second round.
The 16-year-old is in a share of 19th at one-under in the first women's major of the year, six strokes back from co-leaders Lexi Thompson and Se Ri Park. (-7).
Ko's second round today featured three birdies and a bogey at the par-four 15th as she vies to becomes the youngest major winner in golf's storied history.
Thompson, the 19-year-old American, shot an eight-under 64 today as she flew up the standings.
Ko, who opened the tournament with a one-over 73 yesterday, is yet to win this year in her first full season on the LPGA Tour as a professional but has been her consistent self for a majority of 2014.
