Kiwi golfers Danny Lee and Tim Wilkinson both went over the card during the opening round of The Honda Classic on the PGA Tour.
Lee fired a two-over 72 at the PGA National course today to sit in a share of 61st, while Wilkinson signed for a three-over 73 as he drifted to a tie for 79th. Fellow New Zealander Steven Alker isn't in the field this week.
American Jim Herman leads the pack at five-under, one stroke ahead of Brendan Steele, while a trio of golfers, including major winner Padraig Harrington, are in a share of third at three-under.
Lee, the best-performed Kiwi on tour this season, made three bogeys and a birdie during his round today. He came in to this week's tournament in 49th on the FedEx Cup standings, while Wilkinson was in 165th and will need to make some cuts shortly to ensure he continues to get starts this season.
