Golf: Kiwis exit at Open qualifier

New Zealand will not be represented when the British Open golf championship starts at St Andrews on July 16.

Both Michael Campbell and James Gill failed to fire in local qualifying in Scotland yesterday.

Campbell shot rounds of 72 and 77 at Kingsbarns Links to finish in a tie for 36th while Gill had rounds of 72 and 76 at Ladybank.
