Golf: Kiwi teen strikes it big in Las Vegas

Auckland 16-year-old Jesse Hamilton has struck it lucky in the United States to win her age group at the World Masters of Junior Golf tournament in Las Vegas.

The St Cuthbert's College student carded rounds of 79, 73 and 69 to win by one stroke the 15- to 17-year-old division played over three days last week at the Palms Course at the Angel Park Golf Club.

Her younger sister Brooke finished third in the 13- to 14-year-old age group.
