New Zealand amateur golfer Lydia Ko has finished second in the New South Wales Women's Open in Sydney.
She shot a final round of two-under-par 70 to finish on 10-under at Oatlands Golf Club today, behind only Swede Caroline Hedwall.
Ko, 13, was attempting to become the youngest player to win a major tournament on the Australian Ladies' Professional Golf Tour.
She was one-shot behind Hedwall entering the final round, but took the lead for the first time at the 17th when Hedwall, attempting to win for the first time as a professional, dropped a shot.
However, Hedwall, who won the Ladies European Tour qualifying school by nine shots last month, made a birdie at the last while Ko bogeyed to see the Swede win.
