Kiwi Phillis Meti has set a new women's long drive world record at the Smash in the Sun in Phoenix.
Meti kicked off her 2019 season with a bang, smashing a 413-yard drive in the Smash in the Sun finals against Alexis Belton.
The winning drive was a new world record for the longest drive ever recorded in by a woman in a World Long Drive competition.
The 31-year-old Aucklander beat her own record of 406 yards she set in 2017.
"It hasn't really even sunk in," Meti told the Golf Channel after the drive. "I didn't even think that was possible. That's probably the fastest I've ever swung it to be honest. Hopefully I can stay on this path and keep riding the rollercoaster for the rest of the season."
