New Zealand golfer Michael Campbell continued his run of good form yesterday when he qualified for next week's US Open.
Campbell finished in a share of fifth place to be one of nine players to make it through the 36-hole sectional qualifier at Walton Heath in Surrey, England.
Campbell, who finished 15th in the Wales Open at the weekend to climb to 18th place on the European Order of Merit, shot a two-round total of 139, five under par.
Campbell will venture back over the Atlantic after leaving the US Tour in 2003 after a string of poor performances.
He missed the cut at the US Open and Masters last year.
