New Zealand's Wenyung Keh and Julianne Alvarez were part of history this afternoon as their US College team, The Washington Huskies won the NCAA Golf Championship for the first time in history.
Much like their semifinal, there was no shortage of drama with an 18th hole chip in from Ying Luo which sent the Huskies and the gallery into roars as they thought it was enough to take the win.
However, it was left to Julianne Alvarez to take centre stage and finish her match off before they had finally achieved what no other Huskies team has done before.
Alvarez was forced down the final hole after being dormie three and then into an intense playoff.
Alvarez showed signs of nerves as her tee shot sprayed left before making two amazing up and downs to win the playoff and send her team into screams, tears and a lot of embracing.
