Cory Gribble may have produced one of the bravest moments in the world of sport in 2017.
The 27-year-old golfer stumbled across an alligator while participating at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Florida back in March.
While most people would be startled by coming into contact with the reptile, Gribble showed no fear, as the American casually tapped the alligator's tail.
Shocked by the unexpected slap, the predator rushed into the nearby Bay Hill Lake that it calls home.
Unlike Gribble, compatriot Smylie Kaufman was was visibly frightened to see the alligator on the course.
