North Harbour professional Michael Hendry has fired a two-under par 70 in the sixth and final round of the final stage of qualifying to finish tied for 26th and secure a full card for the 2013 season on the Japan Golf Tour.
The 33-year-old, who has played on the OneAsia and PGA Tour of Australasia for the past three years, will join fellow New Zealander David Smail, who has been on the Japan Tour for the past 15 seasons.
Hendry had rounds of 69, 73, 70, 71, 68 and 70 for a six round 11-under par total at the Cocopa Resort that was 11 shots back from the eventual winner and good enough to secure full status.
"Japan here I come!'' Hendry said on Facebook.
"Just finished 26th at Q School giving me full status for next year. Yeah Boi!''
