Australian Ashley Hall was last night leading the New Zealand PGA Championship at Clearwater in Christchurch, on 137 after 36 holes. New Zealander Grant Waite was one-under par on 143 in a share of 10th place after switching to his left hand for putting. He was buoyant after holing his longest putt of the day on the last - from 18 feet - to finish with a two-over 74.
