Clearly, The Shark is a busy man.
And he's about to become a whole lot busier.
He's reportedly arranged a media summit midway through next year to announce a secret plan he expects will change the golfing landscape in a massive way.
While he didn't say what his secret plan was, he did tell eight members of the media at the recent unveiling of the Greg Norman Signature Course at Vidanta Neuvo Vallarta, Mexico, that we can expect it to have a huge impact.
"In the middle second quarter of next year, I'll invite you guys down to my office. We will tell you exactly how we're going to break this cast iron that's been wrapped around golf for so long. We're going to shatter it," Norman said.
"The institutions (USGA, R&A, PGA of America, PGA Tour) will eventually buy into it because they will have to buy into it. They won't have a choice."
Business analyst and golf writer Rick Young detailed Norman's time with the small media pack for scoregolf.com. The former world No. 1 appeared to hint at the fact golf's best interests weren't always the main concern for the bodies running the sport.
"Let me ask you guys a question, you all have your fingers on the pulse of this: Where do you guys see the USGA, the PGA Tour, the R&A going? Where do you see corporate dollars moving, networks, sponsorship. Where is this game heading?" Norman asked.
"Is golf out of sync because the USGA, PGA Tour, PGA of America, R&A and the other institutions are out of sync? Do you think they have their constituents' best interests at heart when they do what they do?"
Questions like that make you wonder just what it is Norman has up his sleeve.
Some find it hard to warm to him, especially in Australia with the country's tall poppy syndrome. He does have a giant bust of himself in his backyard, after all.
But Young is a Norman fan, and expects his proposal to live up the promise.
"Norman's detractors? They will call this Shark rhetoric. Not the first time, not the last.
Me? I'll be circling my calendar," he wrote.
"He looks at the business world through a unique set of eyes. He is a corporate visionary, in my opinion, the most successful athlete turned businessman of this or any generation. His multinational private company's portfolio of consumer products and services stands on its own merit."
Young reported the two-time major winner left the journalists with a final teaser about what they could expect from him in 2017 that will be so revolutionary.
"I can tell you this - by the third quarter of next year we're going to market with a new product. You guys are going to say, 'Wow, nobody has ever thought about this'."
It wouldn't be the first time Norman has surprised us.
