Golf: Grant Waite grabs lead in Canadian Open

An eagle on the par five eighteenth hole has given New Zealand's Grant Waite the outright lead at the halfway stage of the Canadian Golf Open.

The Kiwi golfer carded the day's best round of eight under par to move to 11 under after two rounds, one shot clear of Australian Greg Chalmers.

Fellow New Zealander Craig Perks is at 3 under in a tie for 27th while Frank Nobilo is a further two shots back.
