New Zealand professional James Gill fired a three-under 69 in the first round of the PGA EuroPro Tour's final event at Fairmont, St Andrews, in Scotland.
Gill, who started on the back nine, is in a tie for fourth, three shots behind clubhouse leader James Busby of England.
