New Zealander Josh Geary faded slightly on the penultimate day of the PGA Tour final qualifying school in Florida today.
After easing into 21st place yesterday, Geary shot a one-over 72 in his fifth round on the Panther Lake course at Orange National, and is the best of the New Zealanders in a tie for 33rd place with 7-under 350.
Danny Lee couldn't replicate his six under par fourth round 65 on the Panther Lake course yesterday, but his one-over 72 was enough to secure a share of 46th place, five-under par on 352.
Tim Wilkinson, hoping to regain his card on the PGA Tour after suffering a series thumb injury that thwarted his progress, shot a fifth round one-over 72 on Panther Lake to sit in 74th place with seven others on 355.
Michael Hendry found some late form on the Crooked Cat course, a four-under 68 giving him a share of 107th on 359, while Steven Alker's par 72 on the same course gave him five-over 363, well out of contention in a tie for 137th.
The top 25 players after six rounds will receive their full playing rights to the PGA Tour while the next 50 will earn cards for the second-tier Nationwide Tour.
