New Zealand golfer Josh Geary secured the second career top 10 finish in the United States Nationwide Tour after finishing in a tie for seventh this morning (NZt) at the Wichita Open.
Geary, from Mount Maunganui, scored a 12-under-par 272 (68 67 68 68) as he finished six shots behind the winner, Mathew Goggin of Australia in the $US600,000 ($NZ738,000) tournament played at Crestview Country Club.
Goggin won by one stroke over American Kyle Thompson.
In his previous Nationwide Tour event earlier this month, Geary had finished in a tie for eighth at the Rex Hospital Open in North Carolina.
Steven Alker, 274, finished in a tie for 11th while Tim Wilkinson, 280, was joint 44th with Bradley Iles who scored 283 was equal 55th.
