KEY POINTS:
New Zealand golfer Josh Geary has endured a wild ride in his debut on the Canadian Tour.
One week after gaining his tour card via qualifying school, Geary successfully made the second-round cut in the US$100,000 ($138,870) San Jose International Open in California.
That was despite him posting a six-over 78 in the opening round.
Two other New Zealand tour debutantes missed the cut, Brad Heaven shooting 78 and 71 while Doug Batty posted rounds of 79 and 72.
