Michael Campbell continued to slide down the leaderboard in the last round of the Italian Open this morning.
The New Zealander shot a one-under-par final round in the tournament -- which was cut to 54 holes by rain -- to finish at eight-under overall.
That put him in a share of 28th place, having been tied for third after the first round and 16th after the second, although final positions could still change because of more delays.
Several players did not get to complete their final rounds and will have to come back tomorrow to finish off.
Gregory Havret, of France, and Graeme McDowell, Northern Ireland, are currently tied for the lead at 18-under with Havret still having two holes to play and McDowell four.
France's Thomas Levet appears the other player in contention for the tournament title, at 17-under with four holes to play.
