KEY POINTS:
Michael Campbell has had a dramatic drop of form in his second round at the British Golf Open.
The New Zealand number one has carded a massive seven over par to drop from three under after the first day, to four over after two days.
He is just inside the cut approaching the end of the day, a share of 61st.
Campbell said it has been a fairly indifferent day.
"I didn't play that badly, but if you hit a few shots off line you get penalised. I hit the ball into the bunker today three or four times and got penalised for it."
Spaniard Sergio Garcia still leads on six-under par after carding an even-par second round.
New Zealand's Steve Alker, Scotland's Colin Montgomerie and American Phil Mickelson are all set to miss the cut.
World number one Tiger Woods is two over late on the back nine, leaving him even par for the tournament.
