American Scott Dunlap, winner of the Panama championships at the weekend, the first event on the Nationwide Tour for 2008, is an early entrant for the New Zealand PGA golf championship in Christchurch next month.
Dunlap finished in a tie for 22nd in 2007 and a tie for 40th in 2006. The February 14-17 tournament at Clearwater is co-sanctioned between the United States Nationwide Tour and the Australasian Tour. Australian Open champion Craig Parry will be missing from this year's tournament. Parry has had leg surgery and has been ruled out of golf for 12 weeks.
